Capsule Wardrobe | Challenge Conclusion

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. 2 weeks into the challenge, I started doubting myself and wondered if it was a stupid idea. I'm a stay at home mom with 7 children.. some of whom pull on my clothes, hair, and if I wear jewelry, they'll yank on those too. Not to mention the spit up and dirty hands. More often than not, that was the reason I wore the same clothes forever and reach for the same combination of top and bottom.

I want to thank all of my friends and family who encouraged me to keep going. I stuck with it and even though most of my "outfits" in the last 6 weeks have been just a top and bottom, I'm a stay-at-home mom and I stay home 70% of the time. When I'm home I have no use for shoes or bags, and because my kids pull on jewelry I don't wear those at home either. We also keep our house 74° so there's no need to layer either. And yet, none of my outfits were the exact combination and I was actually able to pull off 35 different ones. That's more than I have done in one year! I was also able to create more "stylized" outfits whenever I went out.

I stepped out of my comfort zone, paired some pieces that I would have never thought to pair, and most importantly, I had fun doing it!

I made 35 different outfits using 30 pieces of clothing
and these are my top five favorite outfits from the challenge..
What was your favorite?

  1. I like them all, but My favorite is the outfit on the right, so simple and yet so classy. Also love the floral skirt, wish it had been a little shorter so I could see you shoes and some of your legs. Wow mother of 7, must be really busy.

Thanks for your comments, it was so nice to see them. I have also an interior blog which has not been used for long. I think my comment links up to this, in case you wonder.
