I was reading answers given by 2nd grade schoolchildren to the following questions and I thought they were so interesting and funny. I wanted to know what my children's answers would be
so I asked them :)
Why did God make mothers?
Simon (9.5, 4th grade): Without
mothers there would be no people.
Stanley (7, 2nd grade): To
make sure their children not have too much candy and not play too much video
games and not watch too much movies.
Thaddeus (5, pre-k): To make babies.
Simon: He just said, “Let there be
ladies”.
Stanley: With his words. He said it
and it came true.
Thaddeus: By skeleton.
What ingredients are mothers made of?
Simon: God’s love.
Stanley: Skin, bones, and muscles.
Thaddeus: I don’t know.
Why did God give you your mother and
not some other mom?
Simon: Because the wrong mom would
not do the same thing as my mom.
Stanley: Because she is our only mom
and we love her.
Thaddeus: Because I love my mom.
What kind of little girl was your
mom?
Simon: A good listener.
Stanley: A good crocheter.
Thaddeus: A baby.
What did mom need to know about dad
before she married him?
Simon: If he has time for kids.
Stanley: That someday they were going
to have a baby.
Thaddeus: If he can go to the marry
station
Why did your mom marry your dad?
Simon: She fell in love with him and
they wanted to have children
Stanley: To have a baby.
Thaddeus: Because she loves him
Who’s the boss at your house?
Simon: Mom.
Stanley: Papa and Mama.
Thaddeus: Dedyshka and Papa.
What’s the difference between moms
& dads?
Simon: Their hair.
Stanley: Papa’s have a beard some
times and mom’s don’t. Moms are not bald.
Thaddeus: Look a little bit the
same, but different skin.
What does your mom do in her spare
time?
Simon: Crochet.
Stanley: Use her computer.
Thaddeus: She’s too busy.
What would it take to make your mom
perfect?
Simon: Flowers in her hair.
Stanley: Take a picture with a newborn baby.
Thaddeus: Not be busy.
If you could change one thing about
your mom, what would it be?
Simon: For her to take us to
PlayPlace more often.
Stanley: To not yell at us.
Thaddeus: Not be busy every day
Oh I had a good chuckle, I hope you did as well...
